The Lauderdale County Commission on numerous occasions has been asked to change the meeting hours from 9 a.m. to a time when most citizens are off work. Times like 5:30 p.m. or 6 p.m. This month they finally changed the hours, but not for the 55,000 citizens of Lauderdale County, but to accommodate one of the commissioners who could not attend until 11 a.m.
Same leadership, same results. No wonder citizens have no faith in our government leaders. The time should be at the convenience of citizens, not the elected officials.
