Amy R. Johnson, Muscle Shoals, received an academic recognition scholarship from the University of Montevallo. It is awarded to entering freshmen with an ACT score of 25 or 26 or equivalent SAT score.
Kristin Ann Martin, Tuscumbia, was honored by the University of Montevallo, for earning a cumulative grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.80.
Alicia Claire Threet, Florence, was the recipient of highest honors and the Montevallo academic leadership scholarship from the University of Montevallo. Highest honors are awarded to full-time undergraduate students with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.80 or better. The scholarship recognizes entering freshmen for outstanding academic and leadership accomplishments.
Tanya T. Hoang, Florence, was the recipient of Honors and the Martin Luther King Jr. scholarship from the University of Montevallo. Honors are awarded to full-time undergraduate students with a cumulative grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.80. The scholarship is awarded to outstanding secondary school students with emphasis on students from predominantly black high schools. She was initiated into Alpha Lambda Delta, a national honor society that honors academic excellence of freshman students.
Academic Achievers include achievements earned in school-sponsored activities that are based on grades and academic performances. Information comes from universities, colleges and local schools.
