MUSCLE SHOALS — U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt officially opened his Muscle Shoals district office at Northwest-Shoals Community College on Friday.
The office is a result of congressional redistricting that put Colbert County in Aderholt’s 4th District. Colbert had been in the 5th District, which is now represented by U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Huntsville.
“I am excited to announce that my new Shoals district office is now up and running,” said Aderholt, R-Haleyville. “With the changing boundaries of Alabama’s 4th Congressional District, we relocated our Decatur office to the Shoals to better serve our redrawn district.”
The district office primarily handles casework and community outreach in Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence and Marion counties.
The office will be staffed by Kreg Kennedy, the district field representative.
Kennedy is a native of Red Bay and joined Aderholt’s staff in 2011.
The office, in the Tom Bevil Building on the campus, can be reached at 256-381-3450.
