FLORENCE — Members of Alabama Arise Citizens’ Policy Project will be in the Shoals on Monday to discuss the federal Affordable Care Act and its impact on individuals and small businesses.
The meeting will be at 3:30 p.m. at the Florence/Lauderdale Public Library.
Arise staff will present information and take questions about the purposes and benefits of the act, and when these changes will take place.
The act was signed into law in 2010 and is scheduled to be fully implemented in 2014.
Alabama Arise is an organization that promote state and national policies that improve lives of low-income Alabamians.
