All-star college football game coming to Shoals

FLORENCE – Officials have scheduled a news conference for Thursday to formally announce the ProGrass International Scout Bowl football game will be played at Braly Municipal Stadium on March 15.

The University of North Alabama will host the event, which will feature all-star teams consisting of some top professional prospects. Seventy players are expected to attend. They will be split into North-South squads for the game.

According to a news release, coaches will include Sherman Lewis, Mark Gottfried and Bob Valesente. There will be three combines from which the final participants will be selected. The release states the game will be televised and streamed lie on the Internet.

UNA will play its annual spring game March 16.
