Auburn has shot at 2 recruits who appeared headed elsewhere

Auburn is in the hunt for two recruits who have previously given commitments to other schools.

Auburn.247sports.com reported that Nebraska recruit Dominic Walker, a 6-foot-2, 189-pound wide receiver, is interested in the Tigers. Walker's teammate at Evans High in Orlando, Fla., receiver Tony Stevens, committed to Auburn this past weekend.

Walker has made a non-binding oral commitment to Nebraska. High school football players can begin signing Feb. 6.

Meanwhile, junior college linebacker Kenny Flowers said the Tigers are the leading contender for his services, Auburn.247sports.com reported.

Flowers, 6-2 and 225 pounds, played at Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College. He didn't qualify to enroll in January after signing with Texas A&M during the junior college signing period, but he plans to graduate from Hutchinson in May.
