The University of North Alabama Studio Jazz Band and the Lyman Mitchell Big Band of the Shoals will present their annual Big Band Valentine’s Day Bash at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 14 in Norton Auditorium.
The Lyman Mitchell Big Band of the Shoals will perform the first half of the show.
Vocal soloists will include Donna Berryhill, of Muscle Shoals, featured on Rosemary Clooney’s and Prez Prado’s hit “Sway.” Also appearing will be Edsel Holden, featured on the Louis Armstrong hit “What a Wonderful World.”
The Big Band of the Shoals has performed regularly since 1979.
The UNA Studio Jazz Band will perform the second half of the show.
Vocalist Kayla Flannagan, a freshman from Athens, will accompany the UNA band on a trio of love songs.
General admission tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students, and may be purchased at the door. Admission is free to all active and retired military personnel. All proceeds from the concert support UNA Bands.
