Performers tonight at Swamper’s inside the Marriott Shoals Hotel and Spa, Florence, include Spencer Murphy, 5-7 p.m., and Barry Billings in an acoustic jam, 8-11 p.m. Performers Friday include Shanna Wilson, 5-7 p.m., and Archie Hubbard, 9 p.m. to midnight. On Saturday, there will be live acoustic performances 9 p.m. to midnight by New Sound of the Shoals featuring: Dillon Hodges; Nathan Pitts and Louisa Murray, of the Bear; Jamie McFarlane and Rob McFarlane, of The Local Saints; Jamie Barrier, of The Pine Hill Haints; Daniel Crisler as Elias Patriot; Chris Jordan, of Nightmare Boyzzz; Russell Medford, of the Fiddleworms; and Ivan Conzalez and Lacey Smith with SCM Electrix.
Travis Wammack and Band will be at Wayne’s Catfish Haven, U.S. 43 in Russellville, 5:30-7:30 tonight and Tuesday at Wayne’s Catfish Haven 2, 10251 U.S. 72, Elgin.
Maxwell Russell is the host for the Songwriters Showcase 6-10 tonight at Frank’s Italian Restaurant, 500 N. Montgomery Ave., Sheffield. Featured songwriters include Andreas Werner, of Nashville, and Americana artist Lisa Lambert Nunley, of Mississippi.
Matt Roy is the performer tonight at On the Rocks, 110 N. Court St., Florence. Five O’Clock Charlie performs an acoustic set on Saturday. Both shows start at 9 p.m.
Three Wheel Drive, featuring Jim Seales, Donny Carpenter and Mitch Curtis, take the stage 6:30-9:30 tonight at FloBama, Music Hall and Restaurant, 311 N. Court Street, Florence.
Bands performing at JD’s, 215 N. Nashville Ave., Sheffield, include Seeking Seven and Killjay Rock beginning at 9:30 p.m. Friday and John Stokes and Country Fever Band, 4-8 p.m. Sunday.
The Zillionaires, of Birmingham, is the guest band beginning at 9 p.m. Friday at DP’s, Classic Grille, 410 N. Montgomery Ave., Sheffield. The Tennessee River Band is host for an open musician night beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The musical lineup at Sandbar at the Shoals, 48480 Hatch Blvd., Sheffield, includes Chris Roach on Friday and Mother May I on Saturday.
At PJ’s, 701 Davison Ave., Muscle Shoals, featured entertainers will be Chris Smith and Neon Moon on Friday and Cooter Brown on Saturday.
Wayne Chaney and The Chaney Gang will provide the music beginning at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Florence Elks Lodge. Cover charge, $5; open to the public.
GP-38 entertains 7-9 p.m. Saturday at The Trojan House, 2415 Avalon Ave. in Muscle Shoals.
Local musician Joseph Baldwin is a contestant in the finals competition at the Cullman State Fair in Cullman 7-9 p.m. Saturday. Afterward, he will be at FloBama Music Hall and Restaurant, 311 N. Court St., Florence, 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Kelly Rivers Burrough and Max Toner will entertain beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday in the courtyard at Miss Annie’s Restaurant and Beer Garden, 3926 U.S. 43 S, St. Joseph, Tenn.
The free film series, “The Screening Room: Classics, Crowd-Pleasers, Cult Favorites and Neglected Gems,” continues its memorial tribute, “Farewell to Andy Griffith (1926-2012),” at 7 tonight with a showing of the comedy “No Time for Sergeants” (1958) at the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library, 350 N. Wood Ave., Florence. In addition to Griffith, the film stars Myron McCormick and Don Knotts. The evening also includes the “High Noon in Mayberry” (1963) episode of “The Andy Griffith Show,” which showcases Gfiffith, Knots, Jim Nabors, Ron Howard, Frances Bavier, Hal Smith and Leo Gordon.
