Birmingham soul band St. Paul and The Broken Bands, with guitarist Browan Lollar, of the Shoals, will be performing in a show beginning at 9 p.m. Friday at Pegasus Records Garage, 612 E. Tennessee St., Florence. Also playing will be Doc Dailey and Magnolia Devil and The Valley Roots. Tickets are $5 in advance at Pegasus and $7 at the door.

Travis Wammack and Band — Jan and Donnie Gullett and Roger Clark — will perform at several venues including: 5:30-7:30 p.m. today, Wayne’s Catfish Haven, Russellville; 8-11 p.m. Saturday, Champy’s Famous Fried Chicken, 120 W. Second St., Muscle Shoals; and 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wayne’s Catfish Haven II, Elgin.

Maxwell Russell hosts the Shoals Songwriters Showcase 6-10 p.m. today at Frank’s Italian Restaurant, 500 N. Montgomery Ave., Sheffield, with featured artists Will Pearson and Jon Davis. Russell also will be performing blues and such 5-7 p.m. Friday at Swampers in the Marriott Shoals Hotel and Spa, Florence.

The Midnighters play 6:30-9:30 p.m. today at UMI Steakhouse, 201 Cox Creek Parkway, Florence.

Asleep by Ten, a three-piece acoustic band featuring Andy Martin, Michael Davis and Derrick Gargis, take the stage 6:30-9:30 p.m. Friday at FloBama Music Hall, 311 N. Court St., Florence

The Shags will entertain guests 7-10 p.m. Friday at Champy’s Famous Fried Chicken, 120 W. Second St., Muscle Shoals.

Thornton Acoustic is the musical headliner Friday at Rattlesnake Saloon, 1292 Mountain Mills Road, Tuscumbia, while First Degree is the featured band Saturday. Both sets are 6:30-10 p.m.

Cu Cu with River Rocks plays Friday at Sidepocket Lounge, 1816 Darby Drive, Florence. It’s Them Dirty Roses on Saturday.

Double Shot will do double duty with shows Friday and Saturday nights at PJ’s, 701 Davison Ave., Muscle Shoals.

Singer Karen Gruber will be accompanied by Joseph Stallworth on piano in a set 6-10 p.m. Saturday at Frank’s Italian Restaurant, 500 N. Montgomery Ave., Sheffield.

An Elvis Tribute Show, featuring the Bryan Muse Band, begins at 6 p.m. Saturday at FloBama Music Hall, 311 N. Court Street, Florence. In addition to Muse, the band features Donnie Holden, Joel Smith, Deyon Mitchell and Paul Simmons. Muse performs at 8 p.m.

Rockin’ at the Roxy, featuring The KGB, begins at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Roxy Theatre, downtown Russellville. Musical guest will be Jaki Sikes. Proceeds go to the preservation and restoration of the theater. Tickets: $10, adults; $5, ages 6-12; free, ages 5 and younger. Tickets: 256-335-4356.

Joseph Baldwin performs at 10 p.m. Saturday with his band at FloBama Music Hall, 311 N. Court St., Florence.

Zac Hacker is the featured guest Saturday night at Parker’s Place, 4022 U.S. 43 S, St. Joseph, Tenn.

l Mark Satain’s 16 by 80 band takes the stage Saturday night at Charlie’s Place, Bar and Restaurant, 350 George Wallace Highway, Littleville. Cover charge: $5.
