Brooks used its traditional tough defense to break on top in the first quarter on the way to a 59-39 victory over Wilson on Monday night.
Jacob Richardson scored 8 of his 10 points in the first quarter to spark the Lions (20-6) to an 18-8 lead.
Drew Thompson added 10 points for the Lions, who maintained a comfortable lead the rest of the way.
Austen Oakley scored 15 for Wilson.
Athens 59, Muscle Shoals 42: Nathanial Potts and Trey Potts each scored 12 points as Athens beat Muscle Shoals.
The Golden Eagles led 29-15 at the half in the final Class 5A, Area 16 game for both schools.
Debo Reeder's 12 points paced Muscle Shoals (7-14, 1-5). The teams will meet again next week in the first round of the area tournament at Athens.
Tharptown 39, Red Bay 36: Kelby Hallmark scored 12 of his game-high 16 points in the second half as Tharptown rallied past Red Bay.
Hallmark scored five points in the fourth quarter as the Wildcats (14-10) ended the game on a 13-5 run to overcome a five-point deficit.
Red Bay's Max Ramirez scored 12 points.
Russellville 60, Deshler 57: Leslie Dunstan's 3-pointer with less than a minute to play gave Russellville the lead, and Jacob Seal's two free throws proved to be the winning margin in a narrow win over Deshler.
Dunstan finished with 17 points as the Golden Tigers (8-13) wiped out a three-point deficit in the final quarter. Caleb Robison added 13 points, Kaelan Bonds scored 12 and Seal finished with 11.
Thomas Gamble's 19 points paced Deshler.
Colbert Heights 47, Belgreen 44: Dylan Marlar hit two free throws with 2.7 seconds remaining to give Colbert Heights a three-point lead and the Wildcats held on to beat Belgreen.
Kaleb Suggs scored 12 points in the second period to give Colbert Heights a 24-15 halftime advantage. Belgreen cut the margin to one in the final seconds before Marlar's free throws. The Bulldogs desperation shot from beyond midcourt sailed wide.
Suggs led Colbert Heights (15-8) with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Marlar finished with 10 points. Chase Landers scored a game-high 26 points for Belgreen.
Hatton 49, R.A. Hubbard 44: Hatton took the lead for good midway through the fourth quarter as the Hornets held on to beat R.A. Hubbard and earn a sweep of the season series.
Ty Terry scored all 15 of his points in the first half to help Hatton open up a 30-23 lead. But with Terry in foul trouble in the third quarter, Hubbard stormed back to take a 37-35 lead. Laron Cooper scored eight points in the final quarter to spark the Hornets to the win.
Cooper finished with 15 points and Reed Gillespie added 11 for Hatton (14-7). John Owens paced Hubbard with 14 points, and Tevin Ray scored 10.
Rogers 65, Clements 42: Latham Thompson scored 20 points to lead Rogers to a home victory over Clements.
Brady Murks added 17 points for the Pirates and Austin Kerr had 10. Harrison Russell paced Clements with 11 points.
Phillips 72, Addison 49: Phillips opened up a 33-8 advantage after one period and was not threatened the rest of the way in an easy win against Addison.
Jacob Feltman scored 12 of his game-high 15 points in the opening period. Tyler Crumpton and Jake Bonner finished with 12 points each for the Bears (19-6) and Austin Campbell scored 11.
Athens 54, Muscle Shoals 25: Destiny Bailey poured in 19 points and Jasmin Lucas delivered a well-rounded performance, sending Athens past Muscle Shoals.
The win gives Athens (12-12) the Class 5A, Area 16 tournament's top seed.
Lucas gave Athens a strong performance, finishing with 12 points, eight assists and five rebounds. Alliyah Smith added five points with eight rebounds and two blocked shots.
Athens led 24-13 at halftime.
Shana Sherrod led Muscle Shoals with nine points.
Red Bay 56, Tharptown 27: Red Bay jumped in front 22-8 after the first quarter and coasted the rest of the way against Tharptown.
Allie Kennedy scored 15 points and Carly Berry added 11 for the Tigers.
Kamri Sears scored 10 points for Tharptown (15-7).
Hackleburg 65, Hubbertville 35: Kristen Camp scored 20 points and grabbed 17 rebounds as Hackleburg (10-6) knocked off Hubbertville.
Katlyn Adams added 14 points for the Panthers, who led 21-5 after the first quarter and closed the game with a 19-9 run.
Summer Tucker led Hubbertville with 10 points.
Colbert Heights 44, Belgreen 38: Destinee Pratt led the Wildcats (10-13) with 15 points, including three 3-pointers in the third quarter.
Lexie Bragwell led all scorers with 19 points for Belgreen.
Clements 60, Rogers 50: Daneisha Malone scored a game-high 25 points to lead Clements past Rogers.
The Colts led 34-19 at the half and held off the Pirates (12-13) in the second half.
Macall Gossett chipped in 11 points for the Colts. Maggie Green's 19 points paced Rogers.
Brooks 47, Wilson 29: Brooks held Wilson to 11 points in the first three periods en route to home victory over the Warriors.
The Lions led 17-6 at halftime and extended the margin to 34-11 after three periods.
Kelly Brewer scored 16 points, and Deanna Thompson had 12 to lead Brooks (13-10). Ciarra Edwards scored 12 points for Wilson.
Deshler 48, Russellville 26: Lauren Cantrell finished with 16 points and nine steals to power Deshler past Russellville.
Keyonda Mason added 13 points and 11 rebounds for Deshler (18-7), while Jothani Dixon scored 11. Ashley Dunstan led Russellville with eight points.
R.A. Hubbard 59, Hatton 54: Alex Mason hit three 3-pointers early in the third period to help R.A. Hubbard rally past Hatton.
The Hornets took a 26-22 lead into halftime. Mason then sparked the Hubbard comeback as the Chiefs outscored Hatton 26-10 in the third period and went on to the road win.
Alex Gholston led Hubbard (13-3) with 20 points, followed by Mason with 14 and Oresha Sherrod with 13. Sydney Terry led Hatton (9-14) with 15 points, and Mariah Cantrell had 11 points and 10 rebounds. Boston Claborn added seven points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for the Hornets.
