Browns Ferry contractor tests positive for alcohol

A contract supervisor at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant tested positive for alcohol last week, according to a report to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

The Tennessee Valley Authority reported Thursday a for-cause fitness-for-duty test confirmed the supervisor had alcohol in his system.

TVA suspended the contractor's plant access.

The NRC report did not name the supervisor or identify his employer.
