Butler, Merrill will speak to UNA College Republicans

FLORENCE — Former state Sen. Tom Butler and State Rep. John Merrill, R-Tuscaloosa, are the guests at today’s meeting of the University of North Alabama College Republicans.

The meeting is at 6 p.m. in the Guillot University Center on the UNA campus.

Butler is expected to discuss his decision to switch to the Republican party after spending 28 years in the state Legislature as a conservative Democrat. Merrill will discuss his campaign platform as a candidate for Secretary of State.

Free pizza will be available for everyone who attends. Voter registration forms will be available.
