At this time of year when Christmas is in the air — everywhere — and you have or had Black Friday, (and this year a half Black Thursday), Christmas trees, ornaments, wreaths, parties, buying, buying, buying, tinsel, glitter, noise, bargains, pushing, shoving, grabbing, somehow I wonder is this what Christmas is all about?
I remember the song (by Bing Crosby) that is always played over and over, "I'm dreaming of a White Christmas," and I would like to submit to you using that tune for what I believe is a "right Christmas:"
I'm dreaming of a right Christmas
Just like the one of long ago,
Where shepherds listened and hearts
Were christened, with assurance of him
Promised long ago.
I'm dreaming of a right Christmas
With every day that passes by.
May our days be brighter and
Hearts be lighter and may all our
Christmases be in Christ!
I hope you and yours remember Jesus in your family celebrations! God bless you.
