Colbert Alloys Park boat reopens today
By Russ Corey
The TimesDaily

FORD CITY — Improvements to the boat ramp at Colbert Alloys Park have been completed and the ramp is now open, Assistant Colbert County Engineer Jeremy Robison said.

Robison said contractors added 15 feet to the length of the ramp and poured a new concrete surface on the remainder of the ramp.

Colbert Alloys Park is off River Road in eastern Colbert County.

“Everything went well and the new ramp extends about 15 feet farther into the water than the old ramp,” Robison said.

County Engineer John Bedford said the county is also considering making improvements to the ramp at Pride Landing in western Colbert County.
