Colbert Commission to address Barton property sale

TUSCUMBIA — Colbert County commissioners will meet today and are expected to address the sale of about 475 acres of property in the Barton Riverfront Industrial Park to the Shoals Industrial Development Committee.

The SIDC has expressed interest in purchasing available property in local industrial parks to make it easier to work with companies that have an interest in moving their operations to the Shoals.

The commission work session begins at 5 p.m. in the first floor commission meeting room at the Colbert County Courthouse. The business meeting follows the work session.
