TUSCUMBIA — The bridge on King Bridge Road was expected to reopen around 3 p.m. today.
Colbert County Road Department employees removed the old wooden bridge deck and runners, which provide the lane for vehicles to drive on, and replaced them with new wood.
“The bridge project will be completed today and opened back up for traffic,” Assistant County Engineer Jeremy Robison said.
Robison said the bridge in eastern Colbert County crosses Town Creek and is used primarily as a farm road.
