Contractors begin work on Wal-Mart road
By Russ Corey
The TimesDaily

FLORENCE — The right lane of Cox Creek Parkway just west of the Cloverdale Road intersection is closed while contractors begin constructing an entrance to the new Wal-Mart supercenter.

Stanley Construction of Huntsville and Oakley Excavating of Florence moved equipment to the site last weekend.

Contractors are cutting a new road to the site of the new store, which will be located on property fronting Cloverdale.

Drivers should be aware of workers and construction equipment at the site while traffic is moved to the inside lane.
