Easy fix could save lives

Everyone who drives a car or truck is aware of the danger of not seeing other cars on the road without daytime running lights.

Every day people are killed because some auto manufacturers chose not to install them on new cars and trucks. A few brands are saying "we don't care about saving thousands of lives every year." The cost would be just a few dollars, yet they refuse to install them on their products.

Why do you think people just pull onto the highway in front of oncoming traffic? Or, pedestrians walk out in front of an oncoming car? They don't see the car. The loss of life throughout the nation is incredible.

It is inexcusable for the federal government to continue to allow this easy-fix problem to continue for another day. General Motors installs these lights on all their products as standard equipment. If you buy a car without these lights you could be the victim or the cause of this senseless correctable problem.
