Fire engulfs Florence house

FLORENCE - Firefighters began working at 3 p.m. today to contain a house fire on Marlboro Drive.

Flames engulfed the house, which is in the 1600 block of Marlboro Drive, firefighters said.

Witnesses reported hearing an explosion at the house. The fire appeared to have started at the rear of the structure.

Marlboro Drive is off Darby Drive.
