FLORENCE — A Florence man is in custody and accused of robbing a man who had given him a ride earlier this week, police said.
Tony Curtis Jones, 49, 316 W. Tombigbee St., was arrested by Florence police late Tuesday and charged with first-degree robbery, according to police investigator Kevin Jackson.
Jones is accused of using a gun to rob a person who had given him a ride from a downtown business, Jackson said. After taking the victim’s money, Jones fled the car on foot, he said.
