FLORENCE — Second-grade students in Connie Gilley's class at Forest Hills Elementary School got a chance Friday to learn what a air traffic controller does. Larry King, an air traffic controller at Birmingham Shuttlesworth Airport gave the students a short presentation on transportation, the job that he does and the responsibility of his job.

He was the guest of Amanda King, an intern teacher from the University of North Alabama.
