Group to discuss health care law

FLORENCE — An advocacy group for low-income Alabamians will present information on the federal Affordable Health Care Act at 3:30 p.m. today at the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library.

Alabama Arise Citizens’ Policy Project will make a presentation and answer questions in the two-hour forum on the purpose and benefits of the law for small businesses and low-income individuals.

The Affordable Health Care Act was passed in 2010 and is scheduled to be fully implemented in 2014.
