Federal, state and local government offices will be closed Thursday in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

City offices in Florence, Muscle Shoals, Russellville, Sheffield and Tuscumbia will also be closed Friday, along with government offices in Colbert, Franklin and Lauderdale counties.

Garbage collection schedules are as follows:

• Florence, Colbert and Lauderdale counties: Thursday’s route runs Friday; Friday’s route runs Saturday.

• Sheffield’s Thursday’s debris route will run today; Thursday and Friday garbage collections run on Friday.

• Muscle Shoals’ residential pickups remain the same; commercial garbage collections runs one day early.

• Franklin County’s and Russellville’s Thursday’s collection route runs on Friday.

County landfills will be closed on Thursday and reopen on Friday.
