Stuart Stevens, Mitt Romney’s campaign manager, who was paid millions of dollars to run his bid for president, when asked why Mitt took hours after the election to deliver his concession speech, stated “he was shell shocked because he lost so badly.”
Romney had stated earlier that he only watches Fox News, and Fox kept repeating that he was winning by a landslide. As par for Fox, their “analysts” including Karl Rove, Dick Morris, Sarah Palin and Sean Hannity, had been giving false information to hide legitimate statistics and polls that clearly were showing President Barack Obama winning the election. Remember, “fair and balanced ... you decide?”
That statement was an insult to every veteran who served our country. Shell shocked was a diagnosis of many soldiers who fought in World War II in combat. My wife’s father fought in the Pacific Theatre, and was severely injured in combat, including shell-shock. Today, we call it post traumatic stress disorder.
Mitt could not have experienced this devastating injury because he dodged his military service during Vietnam, gaining three-year deferment to spend those years in Paris, supposedly doing missionary work for the Mormon church.
Good job, Americans, for denying the liars and dark money from winning.
