Brian Martin, right, leaves the Colbert County Courthouse on Tuesday. Martin is accused of shooting his father, Donice "Boo Boo" Scott.

TUSCUMBIA — Jurors today are expected to hear a cellphone recording of a conversation between Brian Martin and his father, Donice “BooBoo” Scott, just moments before Scott was shot May 11, 2011.

The evidence will be presented by the Colbert County district attorney’s office in Martin’s murder trial.

Martin, 33, 1564 Fray Ave., Sheffield, is charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of Scott.

The trial, which is being held in Colbert County Circuit Judge Hal Hughston’s courtroom, began Monday with jury selection.

The trial started back this morning.

Jurors could also hear testimony from police today.
