Two men injured in construction accident

FLORENCE — Two construction workers were injured in an early morning accident Thursday at Bentley Chevrolet Cadillac on Florence Boulevard, officials said.

Emergency officials said the accident happened at 7:29 a.m.
Florence Fire Chief Charlie Cochran said it is his understanding that two electrical workers received burns and were being flown from the scene by helicopter.

Florence Fire Marshal Danny Simbeck said the two men were alert and talking. He said both men suffered burns to their face and one to his hands as well.

"They were working with electricity changing out a large breaker box," Simbeck said.
