Lauderdale man found guilty of theft, drug charges
FLORENCE — Courthouse officials said a Killen man was found guilty of theft and drug-related charges in Lauderdale County Circuit Court.
Officials said Glen Marvin Hanback Jr., 36, 55 Shoals Ave., Killen, was found guilty of first-degree theft of property, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and two misdemeanor charges.
Hanback was accused of breaking into a storage facility behind a Killen residence Oct. 11, 2011.
He was later stopped on a traffic stop and arrested on the drug charges.
Hanback faces 2-20 years in prison for the theft conviction and 1-10 years in prison for the drug possession.
He will be sentenced later.

Two speakers and stereo were taken from a 2001 Mazda parked in the 1500 block of Helton Drive.
A six-disc CD player and 12-volt battery were taken form a 1998 red Lexus parked on North Patton Street.
A GPS unit, iPhone charger and radio transmitter were taken from a 2005 white Chevrolet Cavalier parked in the 1000 block of Helton Drive.
A GPS unit and iPad with case were taken from a 2002 red Toyota Camry parked in the 200 block of Enterprise Street.

A vehicle license plate was taken from a 2000 gray Mercury Marquis parked in the 4300 block of Bryson Boulevard.

A jewelry box containing a variety of gold and silver jewelry pieces were taken from a residence in the 100 block of Lauderdale 426, Killen.
