Lauderdale man found guilty of theft, drug charges
FLORENCE — Courthouse officials said a Killen man was found guilty of theft and drug-related charges in Lauderdale County Circuit Court.
Officials said Glen Marvin Hanback Jr., 36, 55 Shoals Ave., Killen, was found guilty of first-degree theft of property, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and two misdemeanor charges.
Hanback was accused of breaking into a storage facility behind a Killen residence Oct. 11, 2011.
He was later stopped on a traffic stop and arrested on the drug charges.
Hanback faces 2-20 years in prison for the theft conviction and 1-10 years in prison for the drug possession.
He will be sentenced later.

Daniel Dewayne Risner, 29, 115 Lauderdale 226, Florence; unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
An iPad mini was taken from a residence in the 1400 block of Crestline Avenue.
Three computer games, an Xbox 360 and a game controller were taken from a residence in the 1400 block of Crestline Avenue.
A business in the 800 block of South Montgomery Avenue was broken into but nothing was reported taken.
Breaking and entering
Audio connection cables and an iPod Touch were taken from a 2012 blue Toyota parked in Ivy Green Apartments.
A French horn and accessories and black leather hooded jacket were taken from a 2006 black Chrysler Sebring parked in the 1500 block of Helton Drive.
A wallet, $10, a debit card and Social Security card were taken from a 1996 red Nissan Sentra parked in the 900 block of Sherrod Avenue.
Insurance cards and various paperwork were taken from a 2011 red Mazada parked in the 1000 block of Helton Drive.
A CD player was taken from a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix parked in the 100 block of Seymore Avenue.
A billfold, iPod touch, debit card and driver’s license were taken from a white 2002 Jeep Wrangler parked in the 1500 block of Helton Drive.
Various keys were taken from a 2001 gold Pontiac Sunfire that was parked in the 1000 block of Henson Drive.
Two speakers and stereo were taken from a 2001 Mazda parked in the 1500 block of Helton Drive.
A six-disc CD player and 12-volt battery were taken form a 1998 red Lexus parked on North Patton Street.
A GPS unit, iPhone charger and radio transmitter were taken from a 2005 white Chevrolet Cavalier parked in the 1000 block of Helton Drive.
A GPS unit and iPad with case were taken from a 2002 red Toyota Camry parked in the 200 block of Enterprise Street.
A vehicle license plate was taken from a 2000 gray Mercury Marquis parked in the 4300 block of Bryson Boulevard.
A PlayStation3 was taken from a residence in the 2000 block of North Wood Avenue.
