Surveillance video captures crime

FLORENCE — Police said a Lauderdale County man was caught on video breaking into a car at a local business on Feb. 9.
Jeremy Daugherty, 24, 2626 Lauderdale 298, Florence, is charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, police said.

“We used the video tape to identify him and then we made the arrest,” Florence police detective Justin Wright said.

Daugherty is accused of taking a portable air compressor from a Jeep Cherokee parked at Octopharm Plasma on Florence Boulevard.

Thefts

Various pieces of jewelry including gold chains, class rings, a gold necklace and a gold-plated watch were taken from a residence on Alabama 101, Lexington.

Two rings and checks were taken from a residence in the 4200 block of Lauderdale 25, Killen.

A bush hog was taken from a residence in the 3400 block of Alabama 157, Florence.

A 1989 Honda motorcycle and a 2004 Arctic Cat four-wheeler were taken from a residence in the 200 block of Underwood School Road, Florence.

A go-cart was taken from a residence in the 2800 block of Lauderdale 5, Florence.

Burglaries

A lawn mower, tiller, weed trimmer, chainsaw, exercise bicycle and tractor equipment were taken from a residence in the 300 block of Lauderdale 224, Florence.

Various jewelry was taken form a residence in the 5600 block of Alabama 101, Rogersville.

A residence in the 2700 block of Lauderdale 39, Killen, was broken into but nothing was reported taken.

A stove, lawn mower and two saws were taken from a residence in the 9500 block of Lauderdale 2, Florence.

A 12-gauge shotgun, two rifles with scopes, gold jewelry, costume jewelry and a checkbook were taken from a residence in the 700 block of Lauderdale 537, Lexington.

A 42-inch television was taken from a residence in the 700 block of Lauderdale 135, Florence.

A weed trimmer was taken from a residence in the 1900 block of East Second Street.

A 2007 Honda motorcycle was taken from a residence in the 200 block of Melissa Drive.

Copper wiring was taken from a business on Wilson Dam Road.

Food items, medication and a soft drink were taken from a business in the 500 block of Avalon Avenue.

A touch-screen radio, laptop computer, watch and car key were taken from a residence in the 700 block of Pasadena Avenue.

Burglaries

A residence in the 700 block of Midland Avenue was broken into but nothing was reported taken.

Criminal mischief

A Chevrolet truck was damaged while parked in the 1400 block of Ford Ways.

A black tailgate was taken from a 2008 Ford F-250 truck parked in the 3400 block of Chisholm Road.

A metal bench, wrought table and chairs were taken from a residence in the 600 block of North Wood Avenue.

A iPhone5 was taken from a residence in the 200 block of Azalea Drive.

A 1999 tan Lincoln Town Car was taken from a residence in the 2600 block of Huntsville Road.

More than $200 in cash, purse, driver’s license and debit cards were taken from a residence in the 800 block of East Tuscaloosa Street.

A diamond ring, emerald ring with diamonds and two arrowheads were taken from a residence in the 1800 block of East Tannehill Drive.

Copper wire was taken from a residence in the 100 block of Gilbert Court.

Checks, debit and credit cards, a wallet, driver’s license and prescription drugs were taken from a residence in the 800 block of Veterans Drive.

A chainsaw and more than a dozen collectible dolls were taken from a residence on Malone Circle.

Wires, cords and copper fittings were taken from a residence in the 300 block of South Patton Street.

A wallet, gift cards, credit cards and cash were taken from a residence in the 800 block of East Tuscaloosa Street.

Breaking and entering

A generator was taken from a 1997 Dodge motor home parked in the 500 block of South O’Neal Street.

A purse, checkbook and driver’s license were taken from a tan 2005 Honda Accord parked in the 1500 block of Florence Boulevard.

Various identification cards, driver’s license, iPod, unemployment card and urse were taken from a 2003 tan Saturn parked in the 1200 block of East Limestone Street.

Criminal mischief

A residence in the 400 block of North Walnut Street was damaged.

A 2000 Chevrolet truck was damaged while parked at Wal-Mart.

Burglaries

A television and gun cases were taken from a residence in the 300 block of Pamplin Avenue.

Various earrings, rings and necklaces were taken from a residence in the 1000 block of East Limestone Street.

A 46-inch television was taken from a residence in the 700 block of Sannoner Avenue.

A 2003 Honda motorcycle was taken from a residence in the 100 block of Meadow Hill Drive.

Two DVD players and a 26-inch television were taken from a residence in the 3200 block of Old Chisholm Road.
