Lawrence ambulance service owner Garwood dies

County EMS owner and operator Terry Garwood died Thursday at the Parkway Campus of Decatur Morgan Hospital, according to Lawrence and Morgan County coroners.

Lawrence County Coroner Scott Norwood said Garwood was found unresponsive in his home Thursday and transported to the Parkway Campus, where he later died. Garwood was 47, according to a birthdate listed on his Facebook page.

County EMS is the exclusive ambulance service provider in Hartselle and also provides service in Lawrence County.

Parkway Funeral Home in Trinity is handling funeral arrangements.
