LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn. — A man injured in a collision last week with a Lawrence County sheriff’s deputy’s vehicle on U.S. 64 has died at Vanderbilt Hospital, authorities said.

Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s Lawrenceburg District said this morning that Floyd Price, 72, Lawrenceburg, died at the Nashville medical facility from injuries he sustained in the accident.

Price and his wife, Glenda, 69, were injured in the accident that happened Nov. 28 on U.S. 64 near the Robertson Road intersection. The accident was reported around 6:30 p.m.

Deputy sheriff Brandon Smith, 22, Leoma, was also injured in the accident.

Officials said all three were flown from the scene to Vanderbilt Hospital. Smith was treated and later released.

Troopers said Glenda Price remains in the hospital in serious condition.

Reports indicate Smith was traveling west on U.S. 64 responding to a burglary call, while the Prices were traveling east on U.S. 64, attempting to turn onto Robertson Road.

The accident remains under investigation by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Lawrenceburg District.
