Littleville to meet with Tuscumbia, Spring Valley officials about water issue
By Russ Corey
The TimesDaily

LITTLEVILLE -- Officials with the Tuscumbia Utilities and the Spring Valley water system are expected to meet with the Littleville Town Council today to discuss concerns over the town’s announcement it might stop purchasing water from Tuscumbia and Spring Valley.

Littleville Mayor Kenneth Copeland said the meeting will be held after the 6 p.m. council meeting.

Copeland has stated the town is considering ending its 40-year relationship with Tuscumbia because it can purchase water from Russellville at a lower rate.

The mayor said the council does not intend to vote on the water issue during tonight’s meeting.
