Man dies after being struck crossing Wilson Dam Road

MUSCLE SHOALS — A man living at a trailer park on Avalon Avenue died late Thursday after being struck by two vehicles while trying to cross Wilson Dam Road, police said.

Jonathan Hamm, 31, was pronounced dead in Huntsville Hospital.

Authorities said Hamm, who lived at Muscle Shoals Trailer Park, and a friend were crossing Wilson Dam Road around 8:30 p.m.

Emergency personnel at the scene said the accident happened south of the traffic signal at Wilson Dam Road and Avalon Avenue.

Police said Hamm was flown from the scene to Huntsville Hospital.

No other injuries were reported.

Police are still investigating the accident. No charges have been filed.
