Man fatally shot in north Alabama during game of quick draw

BOAZ (AP) — Police say a 30-year-old man was accidentally killed during a game of quick draw at an automotive shop in Boaz.

WAFF-TV reported a group of people were playing quick draw with guns they thought were unloaded Thursday night when Patrick Daniel Garrett was shot in his torso.

Police say Garrett was taken to Marshall Medical Center South and was pronounced dead.

Charges have not been filed and police confiscated a .40-caliber Glock as evidence.
