List of delays
Many Shoals schools to open later today

Some Shoals area schools announced they would delay their opening today because of the threat of icy weather. 

  • Florence city schools will delay opening two hours. 
  • Colbert and Lauderdale County systems open at 10:30 a.m. 
  • Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Russellville and Franklin County schools along with Covenant Christian School, Kilby Laboratory School and Mars Hill Bible School open at 10 a.m.
  • The University of North Alabama also will open at 10 a.m.
