LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Mental institutions need funds to deal with disorder

Kids are influenced by what they see in movies, video games, TV. And society is not helping with all the sex, porn, blood, guts and violence that is being protected under free speech laws.

Also, in Alabama, they cut the budget and the first things to go were closing down a mental institution, sending the patients into society. Some extreme mental patients were sent to a facility where a good friend of mine was a manager. She said they were not equipped to deal with that type of mental disorder, but the state agencies did not care.

Once again, if Washington would cut back on all the government waste programs, agencies that desperately need it the most to function as a civil society could work. The U.S. government sends much wasted money to other countries while our own people go down the drain.
