Recently, being an election year, there have been many comments in the TimesDaily on the triumphs of President Obama. The raid that culminated in the death of Osama bin Laden is often mentioned.

Wake up, people. This was this just one man, a part of a huge organization. There are plenty more out there to take his place.

I grew up in Britain during World War II, and as far as I know, the British capture of numerous enemy spies and saboteurs did not cause the downfall of the Nazi regime any more than the death of bin Laden has caused the demise of Al Qaida.

The order to eliminate bin Laden was given by President Obama, but it was carried out by brave members of the military, whose job it is to obey any president, Republican or Democrat.
