Ilam Ali scored two goals and added one assist to lead Muscle Shoals to a 4-1 victory over Walker in boys soccer action Tuesday.
Nick Shook and Sam Flippo scored one goal each for the Trojans (3-6-1). Husam Ali added an assist for Muscle Shoals.
Ryan Williams made two diving saves in goal to help the Trojans earn the win. Midfielder Luke Yorky also had a strong game.
Golf
Rachel May shot 40 to help Central earn a victory over Wilson in a girls match played at Blackberry Trail on Monday.
Central finished with a team score of 157, while Wilson shot 208. Hannah Staggs and Hope Hagood each shot 69 to lead Wilson.
Mars Hill’s Hannah Pope, playing as an individual, shot 53.
UNA athletics
FLORENCE — Rain and high winds have caused the cancellation of the University of North Alabama’s baseball game Tuesay against Martin Methodist College. That game will be rescheduled at some point later in the season.
UNA will host Maryville in a doubleheader today at 2 p.m. at Mike Lane Field.
The Lions also cancelled Tuesday’s spring football practice session and will make the day up Thursday. UNA will now practice Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 3:15 and Saturday morning at a time to be determined.
UNA’s scheduled softball doubleheader against Delta State, which was scheduled for today, has been moved to Thursday at 1 p.m.
