Muscle Shoals man dies in boat accident

MUSCLE SHOALS -- A Muscle Shoals man died Saturday after he fell from his boat while fishing near Wilson Dam.

Colbert County Coroner Carlton Utley identified the man as Kenneth Harold Green, of 114 Emmons Lane. Utley could not provide an exact age, but said the victim was in his early 70s.

"It appears to be an accidental drowning," Utley said.

Alabama Marine Police Officer Josh Bradford said Green's death is being investigated as a boating accident.

He said that was standard procedure any time a fatality was involved.
