Muscle Shoals to break ground on career tech center

MUSCLE SHOALS — School officials in Muscle Shoals will toss a ceremonial pile of dirt Jan. 25 to kick off construction of the district’s new center for technology.

The school board approved construction of an eight-program facility in December. The new facility will be located adjacent to Muscle Shoals High School and will replace the 40-year-old career tech center on Wilson Dam Highway.

The new center is expected to be open in January 2014.
