Nurse named nation’s best

MUSCLE SHOALS — A Muscle Shoals nurse was named the national Nurse of the Year by the National Association of Home Care & Hospice.

Becky Williams, a nurse with Alacare Home Health and Hospice, was chosen from 50 finalists, one from each state, and will be honored later this month at the association’s annual meeting.

Williams was nominated and chosen as the state’s top nurse in June after a co-worker submitted an article to the association describing Williams’ knack for going above and beyond.

She was chosen for the national title through online voting.
