Terrance Byrd, Deshler
Byrd stepped up with a big-time performance to help Deshler break a two-game losing skid with a 49-35 victory over previously-unbeaten Brooks. The sophomore rushed for 250 yards on 30 carries and scored two touchdowns in the win. Byrd’s 22-yard touchdown run with 34 seconds remained sealed the win for Deshler.
Rodney Camp, Phillips
Camp continued to put up big numbers in leading Phillips to a 58-44 victory over Phil Campbell. The senior quarterback accumulated 482 yards (263 passing, 210 rushing) of total offense in leading the Bears to the win. Camp threw three touchdown passes and added two touchdown runs.
Jacob Duncan, Rogers
The junior kicked his first field goal of the season from 30 yards with three seconds to send the Pirates into overtime against county rival Lexington. Duncan’s extra point kick in overtime proved to the the winning point in Rogers’ 28-27 victory.
