Power restored in downtown, north Florence

Parts of Florence experienced a power outage shortly after 9 tonight, and a blown transformer may be to blame.

Electric service began being restored about 9:45, and Florence Utilities later reported that all customers had service.

The outage was believed to have affected parts of Florence west of Helton Drive. A recording at Florence Utilities said the outage affected downtown and north Florence.
