CHEROKEE — A public hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at Town Hall to discuss the proposed new sewer system.

The USDA-required hearing is held to answer residents’ questions about the system. Representatives from the Florence engineering consulting firm White, Lynn, Collins and Associates will attend and provide details about the project, which they are working on with town officials.

The Town Council meets at 5 p.m. in a work session, followed by the regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m.
