Red Bay outscored Phil Campbell in each period to remain unbeaten with a 60-40 victory over the Bobcats in girls basketball action Friday night.
The Tigers opened up a 14-7 lead after one quarter and took a 24-9 advantage into halftime. Red Bay (5-0, 2-0) was not threatened in the second half.
Lexy Lindsey led Red Bay with 21 points and Kasey Sparks added 11. Autumn Thomas paced Phil Campbell with 14 points.
n Rogers 38, West Limestone 33: The Pirates (4-4) rallied from a six-point deficit at the opening of the fourth quarter to even their record on the season on the road against the Wildcats.
Maggie Green led Rogers with 12 points.
n Tharptown 52, Belgreen 47: Kamri Sears scored 21 points to lead the Wildcats (4-2) to a victory over the Bulldogs.
Tharptown trailed 29-24 at the half but pulled ahead for good in the fourth quarter.
n West Morgan 38, Hatton 33: The Hornets (5-4) couldn’t recover from a slow start that saw the team score only 11 first-half points. Addie Carter led Hatton with 11 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals, while Sydney Terry scored seven and grabbed 11 rebounds. Boston Claborn had six points and 12 rebounds for the Hornets.
n Collinwood 53, Perry County 40: Collinwood held Perry County scoreless in the opening period en route to a victory.
The Trojans led 11-0 after the first period and took a 32-15 advantage into halftime.
Hannah Littrell led the Trojans (6-0, 1-0 district) with 14 points and Alexis Haddock added 13.
n Summertown 45, Wayne County 30: A total of nine players scored for the Wildcats (3-6), with Hayley Inman leading the way with five points.
Boys
n Phil Campbell 60, Red Bay 48: The Bobcats (6-3, 2-0) jumped out to a 23-11 first quarter lead and never looked back en route to their second area win of the year. Colton Vickery

offense with 17 points, while Skeeter Benford had 16, Austin Jones had 10 and Cameron Harris had 10. Red Bay’s Michael Ramirez led all scorers with 21.
n Belgreen 55, Tharptown 45: Josh DeVaney led all scorers with 19 points and added 10 rebounds to keep the Bulldogs (7-1, 3-0) perfect in area play. Chase Landers added 13 points for Belgreen. Riley Nolen led Tharptown with 15 points. While Kelby Hallmark added 14.
n Collinwood 58, Perry County 42: Wesley Pigg scored 16 points and Logan Montgomery added 13 to lead the Trojans (4-2, 1-0) to a victory in their district opener.
Collinwood led 29-21 at the half and pulled away in the third quarter.
n Wayne County 42, Summertown 40 (OT): Sawyer Ray hit a 3-pointer with 1:01 to play in overtime, and a steal by Keeton Kelly iced the victory for the Wildcats (4-5).
Pat Risner led Wayne County with 15 points, while Ray added 12.
