SHEFFIELD — Two people are in custody while the search continues for the third man accused in a home invasion and shooting death of a local man, police said.

Damien Deandre Shipley, 22, is charged with capital murder in connection with the death of Dorian Cliff Hamilton. Donta Omar Montgomery, 20, of Sheffield, turn himself in to authorities tonight. He is charged with murder, police said.

Shipley’s address is 3701 River Road, Lot 16, Muscle Shoals, but he was staying at a Crestline Avenue address in Sheffield when he was taken into custody, Sheffield Police Chief Greg Ray said today.

Ray said a murder warrant is issued for Fernando “Laylow” King, 31, of Sheffield.

Hamilton, 27, died late Feb. 22 after masked men broke into a residence he was visiting and fired a shot while he was trying to close a back bedroom door, police said.
