Shoals Ambulance Service gets county's contract

FLORENCE - Lauderdale County commissioners voted 3-0 this morning to award Shoals Ambulance Service the contract to provide service for county residents.

The contract is a joint contract between the city of Florence and the commission. Florence council members voted last week to award the bid to Shoals Ambulance Service.

Shoals Ambulance and Lauderdale EMS, the current provider, were the only companies to bid on the contract.
