Sing-a-long Feb. 1 benefits Shoals Theatre project
By Jennifer Edwards
TheTimes Daily

FLORENCE — Residents are invited to sing a tune for a cause Feb. 1.

The “Sound of Music” sing-a-long to benefit the the Silver Screen project at Shoals Theatre is 7 p.m. Feb. 1 at the Shoals Theatre. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at silverscreenshoals.com.

The Silver Screen project is raising money to install projection equipment in the Shoals Theatre for art-house movie screenings. At least $70,000 is needed to install the screen, projector and other equipment, though raising $150,000 would allow for an upgrade to the theater’s sound system, project organizers say.
