The Shoals will head into March with a reminder that winter isn’t finished with us yet.
Snow is in the forecast Friday and Saturday, although little or no accumulation is expected, according to the National Weather Service office in Huntsville.
The forecast calls for a 30 percent chance of rain and snow showers Friday. That increases to a 40 percent chance of snow showers Friday night and Saturday.
Friday’s high will be near 44 with the chance of a rain/snow mixture changing over to snow showers before 9 p.m. The low Friday night is projected at 30 degrees.
Saturday’s high will be near 39. Snow chances end by Saturday night but cold temperatures linger, with a low around 25.
Sunday’s forecast calls for a high of 40 and low of 21.
There also is a 20 percent chance of snow showers Monday night and Tuesday night, but officials expect it to be too warm to accumulate, with highs both days expected to reach the 50s.
