PETERSVILLE - A Florence man is in fair condition this morning after being injured in a two-car accident Wednesday night on Alabama 157 in Petersville, officials said.
Troopers said Luke Meyers, 38, was flown to Huntsville Hospital after the car he was driving collided with another vehicle. Hospital officials said he was in fair condition this morning.
The accident happened just after 5 p.m. on Alabama 157, just north of the Rasch Road intersection, state troopers said. The road is also known as Cloverdale Road.
Troopers said Meyers’ son, Keith, 10, and his daughter, Alana, 12, received minor injuries.
Keith Meyers was also flown by helicopter to Huntsville Hospital as a precaution. Hospital officials said they did not have a record of him being admitted.
Emergency personnel at the scene said the boy was alert and talking and didn’t appear to be seriously injured. Alana Meyers was taken to Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital where she was treated and later released.
Troopers said Meyers was driving a 1991 Ford that collided with a 2011 Ford driven by Jack Richarson, 70, Florence. Richardson was not injured.
