Tide will have parade for national champions Jan. 19

TUSCALOOSA — The University of Alabama will host a parade Jan. 19 to honor its national championship football team.

The parade will start at 1:30 p.m. at the corner of University Boulevard and Second Avenue. It will conclude with a Walk of Champions and a ceremony on the top steps of the North End zone, hosted by Alabama play-by-play radio voice Eli Gold.

"This is a pretty quick turnaround to do something like this, but our fans have always been great about coming out and showing their appreciation for the hard work and sacrifices that they've made throughout their careers," Alabama coach Nick Saban said.

"We're really excited about having a great turnout to honor this team, who I think we're as proud of as any team we've ever had."
